Family Mini Album--Updated
So I felt like being creative today, but I didn't really feel like thinking much about it, so I went to my old standby of CASEing a project (CASE: Copy And Steal Everything). This is not a total CASE, because I didn't copy and steal everything, but it's mostly a CASE. ;)
I got my Stampin' Success magazine in the mail the other day from Stampin' Up! (a publication that demonstrators get) and they featured a really cute mini album using the chipboard circles from the On Board Accents. They used a heart stamp, a felt flower, and a button (all different colors from the ones I used). I decided to cover my album with Certainly Celery Designer Prints patterned paper and used a heart from the On Board Accents for my heart. I painted a Bashful Blue craft reinker onto the heart and clear embossed the chipboard for a shiny look. I stamped the words "happy" and "family" on a small scrap of Whisper White cardstock, cut them into rectangles, and adhered them behind the heart. The Rose Red felt flower and Apricot Appeal button (threaded with linen thread) completed the project.
The Stampin' Up! project used ribbon tied through the holes, but I thought this metal bead chain was cute and sturdy, so I went with that. I might still add some ribbon tied onto the chain eventually. I will post the pictures of Sean and me later...we ran out of printer ink. :)
Supplies: All Stampin' Up! except for the bead chain--On Board Accents (circles and heart), Accents & Elements felt flower, Fresh Favorites I buttons, Certainly Celery Designer Prints paper, Crop-A-Dile, Linen Thread, Bashful Blue craft reinker, Crystal Clear embossing powder, Everyday Flexible Phrases stamp set, Old Olive ink, Coluzzle, Sanding block
